| The result of a basic research of the original gene expression analysis technology is translated to the cancerous clinical and anti-cancer drug development. About the anti-cancer drugs that are developing by the pharmaceutical company or using in the cancer medical treatment, the project will identify the sensitivity gene group that can distinguish between an effectiveness and non-effectiveness, and aim at the achievement of the personalized medicine as diagnosis tool for the treatment policy decision. And, the project will identify a new gene that becomes the cancer identification diagnosis marker and a drug development target, and also accelerate the development of the new cancer drug in the coordinated pharmaceutical company by disclosing these data to them promptly. - Identification of anti-cancer drug sensitivity gene group by using the cell strain
For the anti-cancer drug candidates that are developing in a coordinated pharmaceutical company and are in the clinical trial, the project will acquire the gene expression profiling from the sensitive and non-sensitive cells stock sample, and specify the gene cluster that be able to distinguish between sensitivity and non-sensitivity.
- Verification of effectiveness of anti-cancer drug sensitivity gene group by using the clinical cancer samples
The clinical cancer samples are collected in Fukushima Medical University School of Medicine. The project will acquire the gene expression profiling from the samples and verify the effectiveness of the anti-cancer drug sensitivity gene group specified using the cells stock sample.
- Identification of a drug development target genes by analysis of gene expression information
The gene expression profiling of the acquired cancer sample and the gene expression profiling of the cell strain are integrated. The project finds the candidate molecules of the cancer marker molecule and the anti-cancer drug target by analysis of the gene expression profiling.
